Wilma Vritra return with new album, Grotto

The transatlantic collaboration that produced one of 2019 highlights in Burd, London-based Wilma Archer and West Coast-based Pyramid Vritra return with new music as Wilma Vitra.

Their second album, Grotto, is set for release on 6th May; its 11 tracks grapple with themes of self-preservation, private reflection and refuge from the world.

A reflective and laidback Vritra leads off the album with ‘One Under’, while Archer lays down a minimal beat coupled with sweeping strings and brass. The result is a beautiful spacious soundscape.

Throughout the video for ‘One Under’, Vritra is alone in a cave deep in thought, which fits into the album’s theme of private reflection.
