
The Elephant, the Italian musical trio consisting of Gabriele Mitelli, Pasquale Mirra, and Cristiano Calcagnile, is making its name known in the jazz scene with its debut album, ‘In The Room’.
As seasoned individuals in the Italian jazz community, the members of The Elephant combined their individual experiences to create an album that, in the simplest of terms, delves into the personal relationships that they have with each other, as well as the relationships they have formed in terms of music.
All eight tracks of In The Room are commendable for the expert involvement of a variety of instruments such as trumpets, vibraphones, drums, electronics, and of course, vocals from talented artists namely Cristina Donà, Damon Locks, and Rob Mazurek.


The track “What? You Don’t Like A Beauty?”, which features Mazurek, serves not only as the resounding conclusion to the powerful debut album of The Elephant but also a remarkable single that encapsulates the beautiful production of In The Room.
