We’re proud to present another episode in our collaborative project with Twistedsoul which sees Colin Smith curate an incredible series which, this month, showcases the inspired perspective of trumpeter Nick Walters.
As a member of Ruby Rushton, Riot Jazz Brass Band and Afrospot Allstars, Walters went on to establish D.O.T. Records in 2021 as a platform for his own music and projects. Not too far removed from ‘Marine Moods’ late last year, the release of the inaugural project for D.O.T. in the form of The Paradox Ensemble’s ‘Implicate Order’ still stands as a stunning piece of work to kickstart what has been some fantastic releases since the label’s inception. Nick’s guest mix tonight treats us to music from Collocutor, Tony Allen, McCoy Tyner, Justin Thurgur, Jackie Mitoo plus much more.
