Brighton based jazz quintet Ebi Soda have dropped a new single, ‘Yoshi Orange’, on their new home, Tru Thoughts.
The new song morphs from a scatterbrain jazz assault of frenetic precision horns locked with breakbeat drum into an expansive soundscape of woozy brass and nostalgia-laced keys.
Of the track, the band playfully said, “We were asked for our description of ‘Yoshi Orange’ and we don’t have one. It doesn’t mean much nor have any significance to anything. Just kinda slaps”.
VVilhelm (trombone), Conor Knight (guitar), Hari-Lee Evans (bass), Louis Jenkins (keys) and Sam Schlich Davies (drums) make up Ebi Soda.
