With his new EP ‘Larry White Volume 1’ arriving on 10th September, Dan Jose shares the hypnotic first taste High Steppin’.

Speaking about the EP, Dan says, “People know me as Dan Jose, but really, I’m Larry White, the greatest fan of the musician Barry White. I realised I was really Larry in 2020 after taking a tab of acid and spending the day banging Barry White records and telling everyone far and near all about it. Although Barry’s considered “One of the Greats” I feel like a lot of people just see him as kind of a schmoozer… And although he’s up there with the best, it kinda feels like he isn’t. Which doesn’t make sense because He’s magnificent, and his productions, arrangements, vision, and output are monumentally uplifting. Spiritually, he’s a wise motherfucker dishing out positive truths that we all need in our lives. Go listen to an interview of his. We need more Barrys in this world.”

Crammed with a killer groove from start to finish, the track’s scintillating electronics are perfectly balanced by head-nodding hip hop beats.
