The Diabolical Liberties channel post-punk, jazz and electronica on debut album, High Protection & The Sportswear Mystics

It’s all going on over at On The Corner. Following recent efforts from Asher Gamedze and Siti Muharam, plus news of the forthcoming Door To The Cosmos compilation, the label has just announced The Diabolical Liberties will release their debut album ‘High Protection & The Sportswear Mystics‘.

Released on November 7th, the duo of Rob Gallagher and Alex Patchwork, span post-punk, electronica, jazz, spoken word and beyond across the records eleven tracks.

You can stream the funky and slightly disorderly sounds of lead cut ‘Sliders’ now, complete with breakbeats, plonking cowbell and the screeching horn of Ignacio Salvadores.

The lyrics too, are brilliant “Bare feet, bare sliders on the high street, down the road in the Turkish full of sesh”…
