Live Session from Yakul on Worldwide FM

Brighton based four-piece Yakul has been making waves lately with their forward-thinking brand of neo-soul/jazz and live performances.

Channelling a similar aesthetic to that of Hiatus Kaiyote with hints of Moonchild, this is one band you need to keep your eyes on.

Influenced by the likes of J-Dilla, D’Angelo and the Soulquarians, the group eloquently marries thoughtful, soulful lyrics with deep grooves and jazz-infused progressions, Yakul seamlessly blends genres to create something fresh and original.

They recently dropped by the Worldwide FM studio for a live session for WW Daily in which they performed their new single ‘Blossoming’, the second song to be taken from their debut EP ‘Getting Late’ which arrives next month.

Watch up top.
