Bryony Jarman-Pinto, get to know her. Having collaborated with Wrekha over the last few years, as well as featuring on Matthew Halsall’s Into Forever LP, the London-based vocalist and songwriter is gearing up to release her debut album.
The album titled ‘Cage and Aviary’ will arrive on the 26th of July via Brighton-based label Tru Thoughts.
On her new single called ‘As I’ve Heard’, she brings together a soft, soulful feel, celebrating the fleeting freedom found in staying up dancing all night in a club and walking home as the sun rises.
Speaking about her upcoming LP, she says:
“The album has been a long process for me, starting with the basics of songwriting. I have had to get more knowledge on instrumentation production, but luckily I had lots of help on that. The album was written over 3 years and different themes come from the writing process, tapping into my emotions and conscience. I’ve written about family, personal struggles, environment and political issues. The core theme of the album is of a personal confrontation with myself and society.”
