London-based quintet Kinkajous first caught our attention with previous single ‘All Minds’, a lovely composition that straddled the lines between jazz and electronic. However, it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything new from them until today.
As addicting as ever, drummer Benoît Parmentier and pianist Maria Chiara Argirò generate a powerful and irresistible groove which is juxtaposed by the warming tones and melodies of Adrien Cau’s floating bass clarinet and the gentle bass lines provided by Andres Castellanos.
All in all, it’s a beautiful return, and we’re glad they’re finally back with new music.
