Now that 2018 is in full swing it’s time to share our ten to watch this year. Always a tough one with so much great talent around and with so many making a significant impact on us since the first caught wind of their immense music. Honorable mentions go out to the likes of Hector Plimmer, Moses Boyd, Ezra Collective, Laura Misch and Uffe who we predicted in 2016 would be dropping something special, and so it proved to be. A few notable picks who should be in your ears in a significant way this year include Penya, Mali Hayes, Emma-Jean Thackray, Wildflower, Ill Considered, Kamaal Williams, Morgan Guerin, Project Karnak, Dear Earth, Shai-Soul Wright, Bubblerap, Milo, Standing On The Corner and Scott Xylo. While the likes of Collocutor, Oscar Jerome, Maxwell Owin, Joe Armon-Jones, Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings, and Yussef Dayes continue to blaze a trail through jazz and beyond.
