Nautilus preps new ‘Nautiloid Quest’ LP

Nautilus - Nautiloid QuestJapan’s Nautilus consisting of drummer Toshiyuki Sasaki, bassist Shigeki Umezawa and keyboardist Daisuke Takeuchi return with a new album on June 23rd via Agogo Records. The trio not only takes their name from the Bob James classic track but also from an American submarine that existed, thus resembling their contemporary style that carries on the rare groove music of the 70s in an abyssal imagery.  Their upcoming album Nautiloid Quest, compiled by Brooklyn Radios‘ own DJ Oonops, features several tracks from their previous two full-length studio albums, alongside several 45-only tracks and unreleased new material. Listen to their slick take on Roy Ayers’ We Live In Brooklyn Baby and pre-order the project via Bandcamp.
