Lat weeks we introduced you to violin and viola duo Charly and Margaux, otherwise known as CHARGAUX. The girls have been teasing us with tracks from their forthcoming Broke & Baroque EP, dropping original self-produced and written tracks, “I’m So Pretty” and “Lullaby.” Today, the Brooklyn-based duo have dropped the last leak from their upcoming project. The twosome have deftly reworked funk legends The Gap Band’s 1980 hit “Burn Rubber On Me (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)”, foregoing their usual classical style, this one lurches towards electro-funk with beautiful immersive harmonies. This collective sound is pretty hard to imagine if you haven’t heard it before. An energetic, relatable contrast to the avant-garde Gallerina Suites. Enjoy!
