Dolomite, the latest EP release by Maddalena Ghezzi, showcases a fantastic and healing journey with nature. Maddalena’s fifth release in her ongoing series ‘Minerals’, Dolomite once again flexes Maddalena’s musical expertise, especially in conveying and communicating themes such as nature and climate change.

Working together with bassist, vocalist, composer and environmentalist Ruth Goller, who partnered with Maddalena in composing and producing Dolomite, the product of this collaboration is a complex EP that traverses through an atmospheric musical journey that effortlessly connects with one’s soul.

Connected through the Dolomites mountain range, Maddalena and Ruth explore a variety of themes related to nature with mystical vocals and alluring sounds from Ruth’s signature bass chops.

Tracks in the EP such as ‘Jole’, ‘Flex and Float’, and ‘Volo’ are unique masterpieces in their own right, and the standout ‘I Fliag’ deserves to be specially mentioned for its beautiful combination of a variety of layers (packed into 2.39) — all of which combining and merging into a perfect song that captures the themes of Dolomite.
