Before blessing us with their debut album, divr shares another glimpse into their upcoming project, Is This Water. ‘Tea High’ is the third track lifted from the Swiss trio’s album, and once again, this captivating piece highlights their mastery of acoustic improvisations.
divr is Philipp Eden on keys, Jonas Ruther on drums and Raphael Walser on bass.
The music they create has a free-flowing swing to it, not pinned down to one rigid beat. Their forthcoming album has been mixed and post-produced by none other than Dan Nicholls, who is renowned for his work with Y-OTIS.

“We play in multi-directional time. You could hear three different timings, but on the other hand it’s together. We land in the same place. It’s not done with math, it’s more about entering a flow”, say the band members.
Think goat (JP), but without the aggression and mathematics, and you’ll be halfway there in truly understanding this peculiar picture I’ve painted for the trio, or maybe not. If it sounds unusual, that is because it is but in the best possible way.
Listen to ‘Tea High’ below and let your imagination run wild for a while. Grab Is The Water when it drops on Friday via We Jazz Records.
