Swiss brother-duo Okvsho (Christoph & Georg Kiss) has us salivating with the drop of ‘Pasitos Jaguari‘, the latest single off their upcoming full-length album A Place Between Us. The album will arrive on March 7th via Current Moves. Teaming up with AKIRA, an Argentinian vocalist whose style ranges from rapping and speaking to whispering. The track connects Brazilian Baile funk’s beautifully rhythmic and freestyle language with a good slice of dub-jazz.

Certainly, when you first hear the single, it doesn’t quite prepare you for what you’ll find on A Place Between Us. It’s a mostly chilled-out jazz album fused with an array of Latin and global influences. The duo’s creative craftsmanship runs wild on tracks like ‘ Soulé’, ‘Algoriddim Part. 2 (Interlude)’, ‘Krawall’ and ‘Where I’m Made Of’.
Throughout the album, the Kiss brothers blend their passion for beat-making and electronic music but skillfully create a record overflowing with rich, organic elements. Bursting at the seams with creativity, the Kiss brothers have sculpted an album of beat-driven electronic music but remain free from the sterile feel that often accompanies synthesised sound. Instead, they allow their jazz juices to flow freely, resulting in a record that feels alive and warm.
As I scan through the Twistedsoul pages, I can’t help but notice that this is the very first time the duo has been featured on the site. But let me tell you, it certainly won’t be the last!
