Albert’s Favourites, the label that never disappoints, has one final surprise in store for 2023. ‘Sambo Mesmo Sem’ introduces the solo debut of London-based artist Inês Loubet.

Chances are, you’ve already come across Loubet’s enchanting voice and incredible guitar skills. She’s collaborated with some of our favourite artists like Bahla, Waaju, Yusuf Ahmed, and Caravela. So if you’re a fan of their work, you’ll love what Loubet brings to the table.

Putting a spring in your step and inspiring positivity, we’re delighted to share her debut solo offering. In ‘Sambo Mesmo Sem’, Loubert pays homage to the power of music to give strength and perseverance.

“This song is a journey: I was dealing with grief, I talk of staying calm in the deep sea. But then I get angrier and more vocal about standing up for what I believe in. In the end I am saying that “our singing will never stop” and we will continue to write sambas and fight for our freedom.”

Loubert is considered one of the capital’s most exciting vocalists/multi-instrumentalists, and the utterly gorgeous Latin jazz tones of ‘Sambo Mesmo Sem’ are not to be missed.
