It is only a matter of time before London-based composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Pascal Bideau aka Akusmi, unveils, ‘Lines’. The release serves as a bridge between his debut album and his forthcoming new album. Blending a multitude of genres, from jazz to classical, to ambient and fourth world, ‘Lines’ arrives on October 6th once again with Tonal Union.
“Lines was born from the desire to take where I’ve left it with ‘Fleeting Future’ and go a bit more horizontal and ambient. Work with layers of lines, whether they be dotted or straight, and leave them to unfold and see where they would take me.” — Akusmi
Akusmi composed and produced all the songs on the record. Additionally, he performs on alto sax, piano, clarinet, electronics, synths, and percussion throughout the new collection of works.

In the lead-up to its release, Bideau has shared two fascinating glimpses from the project in the form of Secant’ and ‘Oblique I’.
The music of ‘Secant’ is electrifying and cinematic, with echoes of New York that resemble the works of Steve Reich. With its brilliant synthesis of jazz and minimalist ambient sounds, ‘Oblique I’ evokes an otherworldly and hopeful feeling.
