Steven Christie, the acclaimed jazz pianist and Proclaimers member, is joined by longtime collaborator and musical brother Joseph Malik. The latter brings warmth to the five sparse compositions on his forthcoming Till Sunday EP.
With no planning, anything ahead of time, the pair who have been friends for over three decades recorded the demo of the title track on the first day, then quickly scheduled another session to produce the final set of songs, which comprised the EP.
Nicole Cassandra Smit and Christina Robertson (who created the artwork) also make notable vocal contributions to this EP.
Among the players who led to the completion of the Till Sunday, recordings are guitarists Chris Hall and Jay Robertson (aka Aqua Bassino), trombonist/arranger Chris Greive, cellist Alistair Mckenzie and drummer Daniel Walls (aka Digital Liquid).
