So the highly anticipated debut album from Vels Trio is finally on its way.
The London-based band consisting of Jack Stephenson-Oliver (keyboards), Dougal Taylor (drums), and Cameron Dawson (bass) will drop Celestial Greens on Bradley Zero’s genre-crossing label Rhythm Section on October 29th.
Celestial Greens features a mixture of cascading progressive improvisation and experimental jazz-inspired sounds throughout its 11 tracks.
In addition to the announcement, the trio has unveiled the lead single, ‘May As Well Be’. It’s a retro-futuristic sounding jam with funk-influenced bass and a sci-fi vibe recorded in Kate Bush’s 70s studio.
