Here’s a little treat for you all! London-based keyboardist, singer, and songwriter Madeleine has not only dropped her stellar debut single she’s also gifted us with a cool influences playlist.

The sweet new jam is the second release in IXCHEL’s Sessions series, which Chisara Agor kicked off in April.

Classically trained on keys, Madeleine made a name for herself on the London jazz and neo-soul scenes pre-pandemic, playing with acclaimed and up-and-coming artists like Arlo Parks, Poppy Ajudha, Chloe Bodur and Kwaku Asante.

Back to the new single ‘Can I Feel Enough’ is a smooth neo-soul jazz-tinged number that features a meditative beat and shimmering electric piano notes, all built around Madeleine’s sweet and delicate vocals. Ash Walker comes through with a heavy dub rework that helps take her chilled-out soulful stylings to a new level on the flip side.

Speaking about her selection, Madeleine says: “This playlist really encapsulates the influences and feelings for me when I started the project. It’s been super nostalgic diving back into the soundworlds that inspired the single and they act as a time capsule for that moment. There’s a mixture of more recent tunes I’ve been rinsing too x.”
