Following the recent release of the Outlines V/A compilation from Anma Records and Cognitiva Records, two artists that guested on the collection, Karmasound and Mabreezee, deliver a guest mix.
The ten-track album is an exciting snapshot of a new generation of producers from across Europe, collaborating and mixing jazz, broken beat and house in fresh new ways. The project features site faves like Contours, Werkha, Footshooter, Allysha Joy, and a host of collaborations, including our guest mixers Karmasound and Mabreezee, who recorded a track with Footnote and Callum Conell.
If you’re new to the pair Damián Botigué, aka Karmasound, is a free-spirited DJ, beat making maestro and self – taught musician straight out of Buenos Aires, Argentina, grew up in Galicia and currently residing in Barcelona, Spain. In contrast, Maabreezee is an Afro Portuguese producer, songwriter, singer, performer, instrumentalist, rapper and traveller, in love with boom bap, funk, jazz, soul, reggae, and dub.
Words from Karmasound: Mabreezee and I teamed up to make this selection on the occasion of the release of the Outlines V/A compilation from Anma Records and Cognitiva Records, where we collaborated with Footnote and Callum Conell on the song ‘Peace of Mind’. We have selected a bit of Hip Hop, R&B and broken beat for this mix. I hope you enjoy it!
