Here’s a little something that we know you’ll going to love!
Having just shared the stunning ‘Afternoon/Kitchen Table; a few months back, Keren Dunietz aka KerenDun shows no signs of stopping, as her the latest offering ‘Woman’s Reach’ is another soul-laden gem.
Woman’s Reach The track is lifted from a forthcoming EP titled ‘Let The Mountain In’, which finds Dunietz working in collaboration with New York-based pianist Nitai Hershkovits. The duo wonderfully combines on ‘Woman’s Reach’ with Hershkovits’ rich piano progressions carrying Dunietz’s utterly captivating vocals.
״This collaboration is, for me, a long time coming. We decided to dive right in and spent two days in the studio: writing, improvising and capturing a unique soundscape that I was looking for since a while now. Keren’s vocal abilities, where she can sound like a flute or a string instrument, and her spirit, brought a natural diversity of feelings to the music. It is everything that a musician can ask for.״ – Nitai
“We came to this project completely open. We didn’t really know what we wanted except for piano and voice together, no masks, something very primal and natural. We decided to not include more instruments to keep it as intimate as possible. I was feeling honoured to play around with Nitai as I admire his skills and his unconventional approach to music and to life in general.” – Keren
The pair gets some additional saxophone support from Yudko who features on one cut.
