New Sounds: Karaba – Spacefunk

Meet Karaba everyone. The Munich-based alternative jazz ensemble is gearing up to release their debut EP coming out tomorrow via Kryptox.

With a sound that is deeply rooted in the heritage of all kind of wild forms of jazz, krautrock and psychedelic music, the five-piece ensemble of young musicians fit like a glove into the labels boundary-pushing musical ethos.

Taken from the upcoming EP ‘Pheromon Crumble Wax’, listen to the uptempo grooves of ‘Spacefunk’ below.

Serving as the perfect introduction to Karba’s sound with its modern psychedelic touches and a 2020 lo-fi indie jazz attitude ‘Spacefunk’ is a heady snapshot that captivates you from start to finish.

Enjoy the track and look out for more brilliance from the newcomers tomorrow! Pre-order here.

Press notes

Founded with the precise aim of supporting and documenting the current German jazz/crossover scene, Kryptox originally featured the band in their critically acclaimed Kraut Jazz Futurism compilation last year.
