They both work at the heart of the London jazz scene. At the same time, their various projects embraced a multitude of styles including electronica, psychedelia, hip hop, Indian folk and classical music and beyond.
Recorded at Total Refreshment Centre over two days, their upcoming Equinox EP mixes influences from jazz greats including Terry Riley, Sun Ra, Don Cherry and electronic pioneer Isao Tomita, with wonky, psychedelic, analogue sounds.
We are thrilled to exclusively premiere their new track ‘Ameoba’s Dream’ which features the always interesting Alabaster Deplume on vocals and tenor saxophone.
“Ameoba’s Dream” is a gorgeously meditative number which grows and grows throughout its near eight-minute duration. Although it doesn’t take that long for it to become apparent as to why this collaboration is one you should be excited about.
The proceeds from the release will go Skin Deep’s ‘Black Creatives Fund’. We suggest you get involved, listen to some quality music and support by a very worthy cause.
