Los Angeles keyboardist, composer and producer John Carroll Kirby has signed to Stones Throw.

To celebrate the news, he’s released a brand new track titled ‘Lazzara’.

Kirby channels the eccentric funk of Harry Honsono and Yellow Magic Orchestra with a dash of Jon Hassell’s Fourth World. He describes his music as the 3rd Generation Exotica, whimsical and vibrant like the genre’s pioneer Martin Denny.

The new single follows Kirby’s well-received 2017 debut full-length, Travel and his 2018 autumnal equinox release Meditations in Music.
