Aura Safari share debut project on Church

Aura Safari next up on Church.

Seb Wildblood’s Church imprint can do no wrong. This time around, the London label delivers a 10-track journey with the Italian Aura Safari quintet.

Comprised of Alessandro, Andrea, Daniele, Lorenzo and Nicholas the foursome all come from different musical backgrounds and generations, they fully express their wide variety of influences and different sounds throughout the album. Years spent in the local scene of Perugia (Italy) attending Umbria Jazz Festival every summer and winter nights at the legendary Red Zone Club have shaped the sound of the collective.

Curating a delicate blend of Balearic beats, Italo House, 80’s boogie, world music, jazz fusion and jazz-funk, you can be sure that every taste is tailored to throughout the exquisite album.

Listen to ‘Sahara’ which serves as a tantalising taste from their eponymous album, a subtle jazzy number that oozes raw authenticity. From start to finish, you’ll be enthralled by the slapping guitar work, which is anchored by punches of percussion against a bed of elegant piano keys.

Aura Safari’s self-titled LP is out now digitilly via Church. Buy here.

Aura Safari drops on vinyl on June 20th – Pre-order from Piccadilly Records.
