We’re excited to introduce you to South London producer, guitarist and vocalist Jelly Cleaver and ‘VI II V’ the first track to drop from her forthcoming album, ‘The Dream Jazz Manifesto’.
I first stumbled upon Cleaver while checking out Supreme Standards and was instantly drawn by her unique and quirky aesthetic. A graduate from Tomorrow’s Warrior – a jazz-focused community initiative that has nurtured the likes of Moses Boyd and Nubya Garcia she’s set to follow in their illustrious footsteps.
With ‘VI II V’ she is doing just that, whether its the gorgeous harmonies coupled with warm instrumentation or the freeing lyrics that touch upon themes of Buddhism and existentialist philosophy – you don’t want to miss out on this one.
Watch the engrossing Jasmin Selen Heinz directed visual for the track above.
