New & Noteworthy: Andy Rantzen – Play The Bones

Andy Rantzen

Leeds-based collective Space Ritual has peeled another layer off their upcoming ‘Various Lurkers’ EP.

Having already shared the murky and to the left offering from Konsistent we’re now blessed with a killer jam from Australian innovator Andy Rantzen.

On his track Play The Bones, he delivers a minimal dub-blues, shrouded in eerie atmospherics where sparse electronic beats meet his menacing musings.

Never one to stand still on Play The Bones we hear him in an entirely different style from his recent Blue Hour Vol. II EP, showcasing his endless versatility.

The forthcoming release continues the label’s exploration of leftfield electronic music, Various Lurkers 003 also features productions from Second Life and Jack Pattern.
