New & Noteworthy: Honey 2 Honey – Under The Hangar

Twistedsoul ~ Honey 2 Honey

With their debut EP A Taste Of dropping next month Canberra/Sydney dub R’n’B foursome Honey 2 Honey have shared a new track.

The former duo of Canberra’s Rory Stenning and Luke Keanan-Brown, have now added Sydney members Del Lumanta and Daryl Prondoso to the project.

Recording at a secret Sydney location, A Taste Of mixes elements of jazz, dub, krautrock, disco and R’n’B into irresistible offbeat, hypnotic pop.

We’ve already heard the upbeat rhythms of the EP’s opening number Tone Of Voice, and now we’re treated to Under The Hangar.

“I know you saw it, under the hangar” laments Stenning, over its near seven-minute duration which musically evokes memories of Can and Grace Jones, and is all kinds of disco dubby fun.

A Taste Of is out 5th April on 22 via Chapter Music. Pre-order a copy here and tracklist below.
