New & Noteworthy: Resolution 88 – Taking Off ( Original / Mochi Men Remix)

Twistedsoul - Resolution 88.

London jazz-funk outfit Resolution 88 is back once again with a tremendous two-track 12″ which is out via new Parisian label Mochi Records.

The label founded by Young Pulse and ATN kicks off the imprint in fine style with an exceptional collaboration.

On one side you’ll find the original version of ‘Taking Off’ the opening track from the bands 2016 LP Afterglow. Signalling their intention right from the first percussion break, this is modern jazz funk at its finest. Over six minutes of luscious synth chords and mellow instrumentation designed to get you up and keep you grooving.

On the flip side label heads, Mochi Men strip the path back and create a disco-funk reworking of the highest order. This one will get rinsed on dancefloors all over the world.

Definitely not one to be missed!

Taking Off EP is out now via Mochi Men. Buy from Sounds Of The Universe.
