French DJ producer duo Souleance return with a new two-track release for First Word Records.
The double A-sided single is a glimpse into one the labels forthcoming 2019 releases, ‘French Cassette’ which follows on from Souleance’s ‘La Beat Tape’ release from 2013.
Kicking off with ‘François’ a track dedicated to the one and only François de Roubaix, legendary film score composer, jazz aficionado and one of the duo’s biggest French influences.
Today, we’re treating you to the second cut ‘Sète’ an ode to the beautiful port city in the South of France where Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Festival takes place. A region that the duo has had love and appreciation of, for many years. This one touches up the tempo a little, with some sun-glazed boogie riding beneath ethereal vocals, samples and sizzling synths.
The François / Sète 7″ vinyl drops on November 30th via First Word Records. Pre-order it here.
