Rising UK jazz star and multi-instrumentalist Pete Beardsworth announces new EP Pour Un Homme Seul

Twistedsoul - Pete Breadsworth

Multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Pete Beardsworth will release his new EP Pour Un Homme Seul via Nottingham-based label Running Circle this September.

The five-song project charts an inward journey of hope and rediscovery, the EP was written during a long period of solitude in the year following a traumatic accident that left Pete without the bottom part of his legs. Inspired by Carl Jung’s Red Book and the works of Joseph Campbell and Aldous Huxley, the tracks began as simple melodies before a picture emerged of a personal voyage through the wilderness and back again to civilization and consciousness.

Collaborators on the EP include internationally acclaimed Erhu player Ling Peng, Yazmin Lacey’s drummer Tom Towle, guitarist Roshan Gunga, bassist George Butt, and vocalist Daisy Godfrey.

Pour Un Homme Seul follows on from long-standing collaborations with Yazmin Lacey, for whom Pete produced EPs Black Moon and When The Sun Dips 90 Degrees, the genre-crossing Invisible Orchestra, and work as part of free-jazz inspired electronic outfit Three Body Trio.

Taken from the EP, you can listen to the uplifting opening track ‘To The Place’ and check out the artwork and tracklist below.
