Tel-Aviv based musician and producer Yogev Glusmana aka iogi has shared his excellent debut solo album called ‘the ceiling’.
From the guitar to the synths to the drums and the rest, the LP mostly features iogi on all instruments except for a few tracks which include contributions from Nomok, Sefi Zisling and Amir Bresler. The album was produced together with Nomok.
The 10-track release introduces the talented artists’ meticulous compositions, classic songwriting, his hypnotising vocals and his innovative approach to music. His sound is highly individual and incredibly captivating.
With its nostalgic 60’s vibe, the project finds him pulling from a pool of influences that includes Connan Mockasin, Paul Mccartney, Beach House and the like.
Brilliant from beginning to end and packed with vibrant and hooky dream pop tunes this album will leave you wanting more, and I’m more than a little excited to hear what this talented artist has next up his sleeve.
Check him out and support. Released on the ever brilliant Raw Tapes.
