Blameful Isles – Pleroma

Blameful Isles returns with a collection of fresh, innovative jazz compositions full of lush arrangements. Theres plenty to love here with so man standout tracks including ‘Infinite Being (Sagittarius)’, ‘Witchdoctor’ (Sun Ra vibrations), ‘Orange sun tree’, The Hypeflare Nine’ and ‘Jahlia’. Deep and inspirational stuff from Blameful Isles on the always great Urban Waves label.  


Medline – Solstice

Solstice is a cover album of legendary jazz funk, OST and library music. Unique and unprecedented in its concept, the album presents a selection of tracks coming from impossible to find records of the genre, interpreted by Medline. A killer project that feels both classic and timeless.



BCUC – Emakhosini

BCUC’s ‘Emakhosini album will take you on an intriguing epic journey, with the seven-piece sharing their controversial yet interesting views on modern Africa. A powerful and deeply engaging set.



Idris Ackamoor and the Pyramids – An Angel Fell

Cosmic jazz travellers The Pyramids, led by saxophonist Idris Ackamoor return with a new album that melds jazz  and psychedelic music with socially conscious lyrics. Since reuniting in 2012 Idris and the crew continue to grow from strength to strength. The production of Malcolm Catto, of London’s Heliocentrics is also top notch.
