London-based newcomer Rhi combines an emotively soulful vocal with woozy beats, soft pads and slow clicks on “The Same”.
The producer, singer, and songwriter is set to release her debut album called “Reverie” via Tru Thoughts early next month and the album opener sounds like we’re in for a real treat.
The 12-track project is named after the themes encompassed on the album and was written about being comfortable in your own thoughts and dreams. Rhi explains: “The lyrics are dreamy, fantastical and sometimes confessional and explore how you can be honest with yourself.”
Finding the sweet spot between R&B and electronic merged with hip-hop beats, this dark and atmospheric cut is one you don’t want to miss.
