Virginia Wing and XAM Duo set to release collaborative album

Virginia Wing x Xam Duo

Just under a year since they released their second album Forward Constant Motion, South London based duo Virginia Wing has shared “Person To Person”, the lead single from their forthcoming new full length.

On their new album the pair team up with Xam Duo and listening to the lead track you can tell that their sound has evolved from the avant-electronica of their second album to jazzier territories.

According to the release notes the record was “Condensed from 48 hours down to 48 intense minutes the group’s recordings create an all-encompassing new universe of sound with references from the mutated world percussion of Holger Czukay, the transportive saxophone of Pharoah Sanders, and the devotional music of Alice Coltrane.”

Give the track a listen below and fall in love the with Virgina Wing’s magnificent blend of meditative, otherworldly electronica and Xam Duo’s Christopher Duffin’s drifting tenor saxophone.

The new album “Tomorrow’s Gift” is out via Fire Records on December 1st.

Tomorrow’s Gift will be released by Fire Records on December 1st – pre-order here.
