South London record label and club night Rhythm Section are one of the and most exciting and innovative musical movements to emerge in the past few years.

With future classic releases from Henry Wu, Al Dobson Jr, Chaos In The CBD, and Prequel to name a few under its belt, it’s a label known for its high quality that always brings a little extra something to underground club music.

Release number RS019 is no different with 20-year-old South London-based multi-instrumentalist Mallard dropping his debut EP.

The gifted newcomer makes a serious first impression with his EP “Verte.” Currently studying Jazz Double-Bass at Trinity School of Music, Mallard’s productions demonstrate a keen ear for groove and the deeply atmospheric cut “Surface” is a fine introduction.

“Verte” will drop July 21st on Rhythm Section. Pre-order here.
