Rio’s original Nu-Bossa star, Sabrina Malheiros has unveiled the title track from her forthcoming album Clareia. The title of the album “Clareia” (meaning clarity) takes inspiration from the stunning natural beauty among which the album was created, and the call for the clarity of mind needed to preserve it.
Speaking about the album process Malheiros explained: “It took a little longer than usual,” notes which was good in way, as all my previous albums were recorded in rush and we usually had a week for pre-production and another week in the studio, which always gave me the feeling that I could do better. With this album it was different… we took our time.”
The title track is an oh-so-good samba-soul anthem and features Azymuth members Alex Malheiros and Kiko Continentino, as well as saxophone legend Leo Gandleman. Superb, soulful and groovy.
