Bastien Keb shares his latest single ‘Cashmere’

Bastien Keb - 20-02-85

Leamington Spa soul experimenter Bastien Keb continues to lift the lid on his forthcoming new album 22.02.85. The 16-track album lands via First Word Records next week, ahead of the release Keb has shared the deeply soulful and psychedelic new track “Cashmere”.

Speaking about the song Keb told Wonderland Magazine “‘Cashmere’ is about searching for your long-lost love. Too many pubs, too many drinks, mind wanders to John Carpenter scoring Babestation while you’re cod eyed drunk with mud on your new trainers after staggering home. Aching, while bellowing ‘I’m not in love’ by 10cc. You wake up to the shopping channel and find out you bought a set kitchen knives and a dressing gown/poncho hybrid thing.”

With a little nod to Curtis Mayfield, yet keeping a distinctly modern feel. This is top-notch stuff. Have a listen below.

22.02.85 is out March 3rd via First Word Records – buy from Bandcamp.
