For the third year running Stamp The Wax return with their charity Advent Calendar compilation.
Having raised over £1000 for Help Musicians UK through a pay-what-you-like donation on Bandcamp last year, this time round, all proceeds will go to The Steve Reid Foundation. A charity started by Gilles Peterson in tribute to the pioneering jazz drummer, aiming to support other musicians both creatively and financially.
Updated every day throughout December, the compilation has already aired tracks from the likes of Max Graef, Glenn Astro, Takuya Matsumoto, Hareton Salvanini (gem) and more.
Today they’ve shared an unreleased cut from Reginald Omas Mamode IV which didn’t make his recently released self-titled debut album.
Think stripped back groove, crisp hi-hats and a gruff Fender Rhodes riff, all topped off by Mamode’s soulful croon. Bliss!
