Yelli Yelli – Terre de mon poème

Yelli Yelli - Terre de mon poème

We hadn’t heard of Yelli Yelli until today, and now we can’t get enough of her. Born to a Kabyle mother and a Czechoslovakian father with chtis origins Hanak carries a complex upbringing that flows through her music. Her recently released album titled “Land Of My Poem” spoke of enhanced identity in exile and identity of the future?  Her music is a blend of electric guitars mixed with hypnotic drones in an unlikely marriage of indie rock with North African folk. Have not been so excited about a newly discovered artist in a long time…

Yelli Yelli’s recent EP and album are both available on iTunes (buy)
