Kelela shares ‘Interlude’, a short film by Cieron Magat

Kelela has shared a five-minute film called Interlude made by Dazed in conjunction with a cover story on the singer.

I’m interested in the things that we’re all thinking, but that we don’t say,” Kelela states at the beginning of the video. “The things going on with everybody that we don’t really talk about,” Kelela continues. “The things in between. The interlude.”

Directed by Cieron Magat, the film was shot on location in New York City and previews new music from her forthcoming debut album. The documentary/interview shows Kelela clubbing with friends, driving around New York and singing sweet nothings into her iPhone.

According to Dazed’s feature, Kelela’s debut album is set to be released in May 2016 and will feature frequent collaborators Arca, Bok Bok as well as Jam City.
