Elusive West London artist Elliott Power is back 12 months after the stunning tune of Portend. Now, Murmur opens with delicate vocals that slowly evolve over the dark backdrop, full of raw electronics, pounding drums and gut wrenching deep bass. With elements of trip-hop interspersed here and there Power’s moody, slightly whispered vocal delivery reminds us (in a good way) of Tricky. Look out for Power’s upcoming debut LP on James Lavelle’s iconic label Mo’Wax in collaboration with Marathon Artist soon.
