We get into various shades of hip-hop with Hawk House, Pell, Chance The Rapper and a new discovery by the name of ThisisDA. There’s music from Alexandria (can’t get enough of her EP) plus Racael Fox and Nosidam give us something a bit soulful. Closing the mix is D’Angelo. We went to see him at the weekend and had an absolutely amazing night. Having waited so long to see him live it could have been a complete anti-climax, but D’Angelo and his band took the crowd to church and i say “Amen to that, brother”.
