18+ the genre-bending, highly captivating artistic duo has finally come out of the shadows. They have really been making waves for several years, but now the LA/NY duo are really hot property after a trio of excellent self-released mixtapes, brilliant CGI videos and numerous lives shows.Trust, their debut album is a collection of the finest material from the duo’s three mixtapes and has been mastered by Alchemy’s Matt Colton. As far as content, they take us on a tour of themes that explore identity, gender, sex and morality. A few of my favourite tracks are “All The Time”, “Club God”, “Crow”, “Forgiven” and “Dry”. The duo really showcases their talents for twisting electronica to make fucked-up music that is not only really challenging but also very satisfying and enjoyable at the same time.
