The Seshen have unveiled their latest single entitled ‘Oblivion’. If you can recall back in 2012, The Seshen dropped their debut LP via Bandcamp and among the 11-tracks was this song. Now signed to Tru Thoughts Records, the perfect home for their eclectic sound, the Bay Area seven-piece revisit the stand out cut from their debut. The Seshen’s tunes are what soul/r&b music is all about. Laden with sweet grooves, armed with serious bass and dripping with soul. Mixing live and electronic elements, and taking influence from sources including psychedelia, hip-hop, pop and R&B the band create a beat-driven composition with a strong emotional core. The icing on the cake is singers Lalin St. Juste and Akasha Orr vocal performance on this track though? Damn!.
