Mick Jenkins never seems to run out of great material; he’s been fairly consistent in dropping solid track after solid track, and through this method, has acquired a loyal following over recent times. It’s just slightly over a month since Jenkins brilliant mixtape The Waters[s], but with water being one of Mick’s favorite topics, he continues the theme with “Rain.” Mick teams up with Kaytranada who laces the track with a sample of Missy Elliott’s “The Rain.” The smooth groove is pure fie and the ambient production within lays an ideal foundation, giving rise to Jenkins deep and sonorous vocals.
