At the beginning of last month, Dewy Sinatra had many ”so many Questions on [his] mind,” that he couldn’t sleep. Unfortunately for the rapper, things haven’t got any better as his new cut entitled Three Weeks, finds him “staring at the same four blank walls.” Once again we find Sinatra experimenting with numerous musical genres. With dark soul crooning over an ambient groove and short stabs of bass over sparse beats it really does refuse to sit neatly in any particular pigeon hole. There is a hint of electronica about it as well as dubstep with relaxed old-school hip-hop. “Music that sounds like 4am” is the self-styled musical description from Sinatra, and, well, he’s hit the nail on the head.
Three Weeks is taken from his debut EP, ‘Wasted Youth’ out on September 1st via free download at: http://dewysinatra.com/.
