After last weeks fascinating photography on her dedicated instagram account, Kilo Kish has released her new EP, Across. The EP is accompanied by visuals for the opening track “Begin Route,” which references the US road trip that formed the backbone of the inspiration for the record. The 8-track project which is produced by longtime collaborator Caleb Stone is a self-exploration in, progress and the vulnerability of growing up. We’re use to hearing Kilo on more electronic-led songs, however with the introduction of guitar work thrown into the mix the sound is much more organic and has a Lo-fi vibe, which pitched along with her soothing vocals makes for an hypnotic listen. ” Begin Route” is one of the many highlights on this dazzling EP that gives birth to a vision and sound that belongs totally to Kilo Kish.
