The Sonar Music Festival kicked off today and we’re heading out to Barcelona later today to get amongst the action. The lineup is absolutely massive and there’ll be a lot of artist, musicians and DJs to get through over the next few days. We’ve put together a little playlist of some of the essential artists that will be rocking the stages in the glorious sunshine. This years event will host performances from some bonafide big name acts such as Massive Attack, Neneh Cherry, Lykke Li and Chic as well as some top DJs from around the world like Theo Parrish, Richie Hawtin, Four Tet (Live& DJ set), DJ Harvey, Ralph Lawson, James Murphy, Kaytranada and many more. A few artist who have been mentioned on this blog but whom we’ve never seen live will be performing and we’re really looking forward to seeing clipping, Spoek Mathambo, Inga Copeland and the “Ambassador of Boogie Funk,” Mr DaM FunK.
